Localscapes Landscape Design Workshop
Our professional design team guides you through designing your own landscape using the Localscapes method
You've taken the Localscapes courses, like the results you've seen other homeowners achieve and you're ready to design your own yard. This course will walk you through the design process from drawing creation to final plant selection. Any homeowner can learn to create a great yard by using the Localscapes framework.
The content for this course assumes you've already taken the Introduction to Localscapes and Localscapes University courses. If you have skipped the previous methodology classes, you may find it more challenging to design your own Localscape and may struggle to correctly implement and maintain it over time. We recommend taking the courses in order.
Cynthia leads the drawing sections of this course and teaches you how to take the information you've learned and apply it to your own design. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from Utah State University and has spent more than a decade teaching everyday homeowners how to design their landscapes. Most recently, Cynthia represented the Localscapes Team at TEDxSaltLakeCity2019 where she condensed the entire Localscapes message into a powerful 10 minute talk.
Shaun will lead the teaching sections of this course. As the Conservation Garden Park Manager for the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District, Shaun oversees all maintenance and aesthetics of the garden, as well as teaching to the public throughout the state. He's well versed in the practical considerations that are critical to longterm success of residential landscapes. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Residential Landscape Design & Construction from Utah State University.
